Dr. Salim Saay is an associate professor and Researcher at the University of Limerick(UL) and Lero-the Research Centre for Software. Salim Saay did a postdoctoral study at the UL, Ireland, he holds a Ph.D. of Software Engineering from Tallinn University Estonia, and a master's and bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of the Western Cape, South Africa and Kabul University. Salim has worked as Associate Professor at Kabul University and as a Lecturer at the Technological University of Shannon. He has also worked in government and various industries, including as Director of IT at the Ministry of Higher Education of Afghanistan, NATO, and UNDP. His research focuses on cross-organizational and cross-border data and knowledge integration, with particular emphasis on broker-based system architectures and the integration of blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI).
Dr. Abdul Aziz Mohibbi is an Agriculture and Environmental Engineer with a PhD from Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (2018) . Former Chancellor of Bamyan University in Afghanistan, he implemented various initiatives, notably prioritized the training and employment of female academics and served as the Deputy Dean at the Agriculture School, Kabul University, he has worked with the UN Environment Program and the Afghanistan Parliament. Mohibbi is an IIE-SRF fellow, jointly hosted by Maynooth University and Trinity College Dublin. His research at Maynooth University focuses on peatland changes over time and the impact of oil prices on peat cutting and his current research at Trinity College Dublin focuses on co-design and community-based systems innovation to address regional sustainability challenges.
Dr. Ahmad Farid Asadullahi is an Assistant Professor at Haverford College in Pennsylvania, United States. He holds a Ph.D. in Persian Literature from the Tajikistan National University, a Master’s degree in Persian Literature from the Tajik State Pedagogical University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Dari Persian Language and Literature from Kabul University.
Farid has teaching experience in several academic institutions, including the Department of Middle Eastern, Central Asian and North African Studies Department at Bryn Mawr College, the Dari Persian Language and Literature Departments at Kabul University, and Ghazni University. In addition to his academic work, he has also been actively involved in civil society and human rights advocacy through various non-governmental organizations in Afghanistan.
